HOW I STYLE : HOOP EARRINGS

This post title speaks to me on some type of level because I LOVE HOOPS. I don’t think there is ever a time you shouldn’t wear hoops, tbh. However, I understand that most people do not think the way I do. Therefore, here I am, writing a post about the best (most acceptable) times to wear hoops. It’s obvious that hoops go with dresses and all those fancy outfits, so I won’t even go there. I compiled a quick list of the times you wouldn’t necessarily think to wear hoops, but the times when they can completely change a look!

1) First of all, I think the absolute best time to wear hoops is when your hair is up. I love throwing my hair in a messy bun and adding hoops to make me feel dolled up. Whenever I add hoops to an outfit, I typically make sure my hair is up so that everyone can see me rocking those dangly lovers.

2) Secondly, adding hoops to off-the-shoulder tops is a MUST. I have a couple of off-the-shoulder, chunky sweaters that I always, ALWAYS add hoops to. There’s something about hoops with that kind of sweater that makes the outfit look more put together but alluring at the same time.

3) Thirdly, hoops with a laid back legging and cute hoodie type of look is fantastic. I’m a mom. Which means I live in my leggings and (stained) Nike sweatshirts. Throwing on a pair of hoops with my “mom” look makes me feel so much more put together! And in my opinion, this look is so 90’s which I’m ALL ABOUT.

4) Lastly, for all you Midwesterners - hoops with beanies! I’m obsessed with this look. Wearing hoops with cute braids and a beanie is literally a Minnesota must. I have a Love Your Melon hat that I refuse to wear without my silver hoops ;)
