NEW COLOR TREND

Okay, so I have to be honest, I’m not a big “wearing lots of color” kind of gal. I prefer neutrals the majority of the time, and when I do wear color it’s usually a muted tone. However, I found a color that might be changing my mind…MUSTARD YELLOW - what?! As a blonde, I never really thought I could wear much for yellow because I thought it would bring out the unwanted golden tones in my hair.

Lo found her love for this color a while ago and she always seemed to pick something up when it contained this color - but, every time I passed anything yellow I typically went right around it and searched for the taupe or black or white.

However, I recently shopped at Apricot Lane in Saint Cloud to search through the big New Years sales and I FOUND YELLOW. The cardigan I found was a mustard yellow popcorn cardi and I became absolutely obsessed. The color actually made my hair look brighter and made my skin look tanner?! I loved it. Needless to say, I had to have it.

After I found this cardi I found myself looking at mustard yellow everywhere I went! I’m finding that I love this color as a cardigan or a chunky sweater over a pair of dark wash jeans the best! That dark wash against the deep yellow is insanely gorgeous!

Moral of the story is to actually try things on even if you don’t think they will look great on you because you might come to find it’s your new fav color ;)
