Hey everyone! Honorary MinneBlonde, Kayla here! I am VERY excited Jessie asked me to bring in fun tidbits about Real Estate, home trends, and housing tips and tricks! So, that is what we are going to do ;)

A quick bit about me: I was born and raised in Central MN, went to college and fell in love with Jessie (sorry, husbands), I have 2 amazing kids, each just months older than Jessie’s, and am a REALTOR® in amazing/beautiful/perfect Denver and LIVE for alllllll things houses.
I like to do a lot of model home tours, and stagers like to go all out on the latest trends, and walking through them has me looking like a constant heart eye emoji. While each home has it’s own flair and style, there are a lot of details that pop up in each. Here is what I am seeing!
Color is the new neutral. Don’t worry, our greys and cool toupes are still around, BUT blues and greens are literally everywhere and being put with everything. We’re talking emerald cabinets, blue wallpaper, deep jewel toned accent walls, velvet couches (OMG I need). It is giving me lux vibes and modern clean lines, my two most favorite things.

Black is the new white. White kitchens were the THING for a long time, mix it with a warm wood and dark accents… im drooling. But you know what else has me drooling? Black cabinets. Ohhhhh yes, with a white marble countertop and stainless steel appliances, pretty much puts me in my true inner moody heaven.
Patterns. That’s it, that’s the trend. Legit everywhere. Lots of wallpaper and LOTS of accent tile. Now, this one isn’t necessarily new, I saw it in the luxury market in MN a couple years back, but now it starting to be in the more “affordable” range as or late! Wallpaper is so fun, and there are so many temporary and inexpensive options out there making it less scary than a much more permanent luxury tile.
I could go on and on and on and on about what I am seeing, especially the specifics in different price ranges, but for now these are my favorite trends! If you love real estate and home trends, follow along on my instagram @kayvicerealestate and I will flood your feed for you ;) Xo, Kay
